Church Reopening Sunday, May 17th 2020
To our Calvary Chapel Mohave family… We will be reopening our doors on Sunday, May 17th for church services on Sundays (10:00 AM) and Wednesdays (6:30 PM). We will not be having Wednesday Night Potluck before Bible Study until further notice.
We are excited to be coming together once again for worship and the Word, but realize that there are still serious concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With those concerns in mind, we will be reopening under the guidelines listed below.
- Socially distanced seating
- Mask are optional
- No children age 10 and under until May 31, 2020
- No Youth group, Sunday School or Nursery until May 31, 2020
- Surfaces are disinfected after each service and during the week
These guidelines are meant to protect our church family, many of whom are considered vulnerable to the coronavirus that is currently spreading through our community and the world. We understand that some are not concerned at all about COVID-19 and are resistant to any required preventative measures. While we support your right to that perspective, we must act appropriately to serve the entire congregation, many of whom feel differently.
This is a wonderful opportunity for each of us as followers of Jesus to practice the Christian traits of humility and submission… not to our government (which never mandated that churches close in Arizona), or to the church leadership (although we are enacting these guidelines)… but to each other as brothers and sisters in the Lord. Paul exhorts us in…
Philippians 2:4 "Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."
We look forward to a return to complete normalcy in the near future and the resumption of all ministry activities. In the meantime, continue to pray for and encourage each other and join us online if you are unable to join us in person.
God bless you all and we look forward to coming together again!
